The book "Cry Baby Cry or Not" written by Dewandus Johnson tells us a story about young girl, Trina,who is struggling living with her deaf and mute mother,Jackie, in the streets. Jackie hates her daughter and she is trying to make Trina's life miserable, so Trina escapes to try her best in the world of gangsters, like a boy called Mistro whom she saw killing another man, and prostitutes. This book will show you the insides of the streets and the journey of finding yourself in a whole new world.

The main advantage of this book is that it contains a few major plot twists that keep the reader interested of what could happen next. Although the characters are not really amiable, the character building in the book is complex, so even if the reader doesn't like the main character,Trina, he still wants to know how her story will continue and discover what is going on inside her head. Another benefit you can get by reading "Cry Baby Cry or Not" is that it presents to you life in the streets and how complicated and dangerous it may be.

While having its pros, there are some things that may be considered as disadvantages in the book.Most intruding drawback of the book is that the plot can be dull when it is describing daily life of the charaters. Another thing that comes to the mind of the reader as a con is that in the middle of the book there are some chapters about side characters that the reader doesn't know yet and he might be confused about their meaning in the book.

I rate this book 3 out of 4, because even if it has some drawbacks, it is an interesting book with a plot that is captivating. At some points it keeps the reader wondering why some characters acted in this specific way and not the other and I believe it is the most important thing about a good book: to make reader so interested that he wants to know the continuation of the story.

This book would appeal most likely to young adults or adults who like action books or movies. Although sometimes brutal, this book show the struggles of people in the streets, so to everyone who wants to discover life of gangsters and prostitutes, this book would be a perfect choice.
