Review of Rulers of the Galaxy
Rulers of the Galaxy by Tayma Tameem, the story takes place in a world of elves, elementals, imperials, humans, scellarions and many more races. The elementals ruled the world for thousands of years but because of all that comes with having so much power, to some races especially the imperials, the elementals were bad rulers for the imperials claimed that the elementals took away their lands from their ancestors which they wanted back and the only way to do so was by wiping out the entire elemental race on their own elemental planet but all that to no avail as a woman named Sallarian escaped the planet with a baby boy. Having woken up in the middle of the war with no memory of who she was and the unfortunate events that transpared soon after as the Imperial soldiers tried to kill her and the baby, Sallarian must rely on her instincts to stay alive and protect the baby and hope that oneday she will get her memories back and find the child's parents.
I love the complexity of the world the author created which included different races like elementals, scellarions, elves to mention a few, and also the existence of different planets each occupied by different races and their own unique environments like some planets having two suns, some being known for black market weapons and on some only certain races can breath freely like elementals. The story almost continuously brought in new characters and I like it even more because it tells a stories of other relevant characters to the story like the "hunter", Daaken, "the high minister", to mention a few, in order to paint a bigger picture of the world and certain character's personalities and perspectives which to a certain degree explained why they behaved and did what they did. The chapters in the story were well connected even though each chapter talked about different relevant characters from different perspectives they were all connected and as the story unfolded, the stories got even more interesting as some relevant characters started coming together.
The length of certain chapters were a little bit discouraging because some chapters were unnecessarily prolonged.
The author made use of no profanity and made very few errors. I rate this book 3 out of 4 because of the complexity and the ability to create a vivid imagination. Also because of unnecessary lengthening of certain chapters. The book was professionally edited and I recommend it to the audience that enjoy fantasy books with a little bit of adventure.
