Review of Wellness Toolbox
For us to reach our wellness goals, we have to adopt consistent and sustainable lifestyle habits. In a world full of misleading information on fitness, health, and nutrition, Don Roberts’ Wellness Toolbox Master attempts to verify the truths from the lies.
Decades in the fitness industry have made Don aware of the common myths and facts around fitness and health. In Wellness Toolbox Master, he states a myth on fitness, nutrition, or health, and provides the factual findings to disqualify it. Facts in the three wellness components are also verified using research conducted for years by qualified professionals from different institutions. The pictures and personal stories by Roberts’ clients validate the toolbox for wellness.
Other than the main ideas of the book showing proper research, the delivery was one of a kind. Filled with funny illustrations and stories, the book was such a fun read. The matters discussed in the book are sensitive but the author uses humor to ease their intensity. The title for each myth or fact was creative, and the explanation provided forthright in clearing any concerns. I also enjoyed the quotes at the end of each sub-topic from different authoritative figures.
The Wellness Toolbox Master gives us just a tip of the iceberg that concerns wellness. As much as Don could not verify all facts about fitness, health, and nutrition in 430 pages, I feel he should have gone a little further. There are a few grammatical errors and typos. The main typing errors in the book involve the spacing in some words. It is unfortunate that a title at the beginning of the book has a spacing error.
In few words, Don Roberts delivers a fact-filled, unputdownable book in the wellness field. The title befits the book, which provides a written formula and useful tips to help you realize your goals in fitness, health, and nutrition. Structured tactfully, it captures a reader’s attention from the start and keeps them intrigued by the spilling of essential information from sentence to sentence. Using pictures breaks the monotony of reading prose. The pictures make the book exciting to read. Although there are some errors, they do not affect the intended ideas the book targets to deliver. For all these reasons, I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars.
Two groups of people will highly benefit from reading this book. The first group is bodybuilders struggling to reach their desired muscle tone. Second, are any individuals who have had challenges in reaching their fitness goals because of health conditions. Although I find the book most relevant to these two groups, it should not limit any wellness enthusiasts from reading it
