Uwe, the young wizard of maul keep is entrusted with destroying the evilore, an evil being whose aim is to destroy the universe. Before him is the task of uniting the world of magic and with their help acquire the three elements associated with identification, seeking and truth to help him find the full armor which together with his special magic power has the the ability to destroy the evilore. During his quest he comes across people who betray him and work against him but at the same time he meets people who believe in him and stay by his side until his task is complete. What he does not know is that vector, a powerful and smart wizard thought to be long dead is playing a significant part in his quest with the motive only known when it's too late.

What makes this book interesting is that the characters were well developed and their roles in addition the book is structured in such a way that allows the reader to easily follow through without getting confused or getting anxious about what happens next, making it enjoyable at a relaxed pace.

If there was a way of capturing the imagination of the readers by giving some forms of information like a map or visual illustrations of the places and characters and if there was a major or minor difference between the humans on earth and those outside the earth, this would have made the book more interesting.

The trials of uwe is a book one would enjoy reading, with part one and the first few chapters of part two been the most enjoyable parts, then it gets to be less interesting before the it picks up and ends really well, therefore am rating this book a 2 out of 4 stars.

This book would most likely appeal to people who have an interest in magic/astrology, those with an inquisitive mind and those who love books with a mystery to be solved or some form of quest. I would recommend this book to teenagers and young adults.
