The Elf Accord - Book Four of the Magi Charter is an interesting story that describes the ongoing of the Christmas tradition at some point in the 12th century. Written by Jordan David, this awesome book narrates how the Charter's annual Mission is extended, thereby having a magnificent impact on Christendom and the lands beyond for many more years to come.

It all begins the when Santa Leopold, the man to whom the responsibility of fulfilling the Charter's Mission was passed on to, is content with residing in the Mission's base in the Austrian Alps. Unfortunately, he finds himself under threat by Lord Guy, a man of the Babenburg dynasty who strives to increase his wealth and power through domination. This compels Leopold to embark on a journey with his household from Klaus mountain to the North pole, an arctic zone that has never been inhabited by man.

Despite the promise of finding a perfect location for the Mission's demanding operations, the voyage that has to be taken has its own risks and perils, some of which seem impossible to overcome. It also is so long that Leopold runs out of time to prepare for that year's Mission. With his people weary, worn out and forlorn, and his resources greatly diminished, what shall he do? How does he navigate all these challenges and accomplish the Mission without fail?

Some of the many reasons I really enjoyed reading this book are because I found the characters' traits to be realistic and relatable. In short, the characters were shown to behave just like real human beings would. They all had their strengths and weaknesses. Furthermore, most of the characters, like Leopold, had sweet dispositions, which made them very likable to me.

To add on, the characters' backgrounds were well developed, and so much detail was included that I felt like I was part of the story. Not only that, but also the story had some element of mystery which made it thrilling. Last but certainly not the least, I found the story to be incredibly integrated and whole within itself.

The only flaws in this book are that there were quite a number of errors, both in grammar and spelling, and I found a few backgrounds of some of the characters to be unnecessary to the story.

I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. One star is deducted because there were many grammatical and spelling errors, which sometimes made it difficult to fully understand certain parts of the story. Despite all that, the narrative itself was interesting, chronological, easy to follow through and well written with a wide choice of words.

I recommend this book for children in their pre-teens and early teens, as well as adults who are fond of historical narratives. I would also like to suggest that this book is well suited for people who love to closely follow and keep track of many details as they read.
