Money Faucet, a story lives up to its name. Filled with intriguing moments which create a stir in one’s emotion. A book that was written by Joe Calderwood in a very professional manner deserved more recognition from the public and crime fictions fans.

A story of a man, called Clint Kennedy that was involved in not-so-legal business, trying to manage every issue that comes upon him. A man who was considered wise in making decisions was driven to corner various times pressuring him to make judgments in hurry. Despite not being a law abided person, Clint served his part well as a friend and someone you can call “a good criminal”. The loyalty and trust he shows toward his people is something that is very remarkable. Thus, I would say, the man himself is a very interesting character suitable with the genre- dark and thriller.

As I enjoyed reading crime books, I confidently said this book is well-written with full of spice and tension that one should turn their heads away. The plot was written well and the way the author delivers it gives me satisfaction. They rose the main issues well and the stories proceed in a very proper manner. As the author also wrote events relating to the people around Clint, it gives me the full vision of every situation rosed. Thus, I would love to give a thumbs up to the writer for this.

Despite all of the greatness of the book, I’m sad to highlight that it is surely not a book that could make one emotionally involved in any way. As it focusing more on strategy and planning, the emotions of the characters are not well delivered. Although it does contains some heartbreaking moments, but the frustration and the sadness of the characters could not be felt. It is explained in a very mild manner which made me assumed that it is just a little filler instead. Although some might think it’s not very necessary to make it emotional, a thriller isn’t a thriller if one doesn’t experience the wreck of emotions while reading it. It could only be categorized as top-notch if the feelings of the readers are played well.

Regardless of what has been mentioned, the book still deserved an ovation for its plot. Due to that, I would love to rate it 3 out of 4. A little improvement on the emotion descriptions and this book will surely deserve a full mark. Last but not least, wholeheartedly, I would love to recommend this to the young adults who are interested in crime fiction and I’d say it is certainly unsuitable for anyone under 16 as it contains fair amounts of bloody scenes and illegal activities such as, drugs.
