The FBI Inspector by Jay Dubya is a collection of short crime stories featuring FBI Inspector Joe Giralo and his reliable federal agents Arthur Orsi, Dan Blachford, and Sal Valardi and their in progress investigations that was given to them by their superior, Matt Riley from DC headquarters.

The background of the book was set in New Jersey, the dialogue-driven and generally not so humorous short stories follow the four men and their inventive crime-solving strategies. Joe’s attempts at keeping his agents and the readers in confusion do not go in vain and believe you me, there are a lot of them and the mysteries are never predictable, so the book gets the stamp in that department.

I have no doubt that the work involved in writing this book was fantastic but I cannot find it in my heart to appreciate an over the top longwinded narrative such as this book. The story used a lot of overly and unnecessary grammar which reduces how interesting the book could have been, old-fashioned english was used which makes it seem like it was done in the 1800 or 1900 s But since the very first story is set in 2015 and there was a lot of reference to modern technology like the e-mails, laptops, internet, hacking and interception of calls etc., it simply does not make sense why the stories were written that way. The author sounds like an American and seems to be no older than 70 years old in the picture provided, I cannot think of an acceptable reason for this writing style

Adjectives are necessary to describe the scene so that the audience can relate with their imagination but adding a lot of unnecessary adjectives all over is overkill and totally distracting and makes confusing. it seems that the writer does not like simple sentences so everything has to be described to the minute detail. I also found a lot of words in italics that doesn’t seem to have any reason at all. It would have been better if the adjectives were used to emphasize something only otherwise it only adds to the confusing mix of words in there.
Therefore I will give a rating of 1 out of 4 stars and would not recommend this book but if anyone is interested in a book written with old-fashioned english filled with unnecessary long narration and adjectives that serves no meaning then they won't mind this one.
