Review of Chasing The Red Queen
Chasing the red queen is a book written by KAREN GLISTA . It’s an amazing book where the summary given by the author is very accurate to the events in the novel, unlike many other books where summary’s does not relate with the book in any aspect, I honestly really enjoyed the book and give it a 4 out of 4 rating since it kept me engaged with the characters and never did I feel bored while reading it .
Chasing the red queen is a fictional, romantic and contemporary novel it’s a novel aimed for adults over 18 since it has a few intense scenes. It all started when Donja Bellangers father passed away. Now 6 years after his death her life turned upside down when her mother Lisa met Carson fell in love and decided to marry him making him her stepfather. Donja a Goth girl struggles with many things in her life now she has to leave her town St Joe along with her brother Frankie to live in their new house with their new stepsister Makayla and their parents next to the Soo, once stepping there her life changed forever especially when she went clubbing with her sister and met the mysterious Tori Mancini a detective investigating a series of murders but also hiding a big secret that would alter her perspectives about the world forever however there’s undeniable attraction between the two of them. Follow Donja in this new adventure where many exciting and scary things happen in her life. New town, new house and new family , new bonds many hidden secrets unfold, new enemies, threats and dark forces appear will love succeed ? what’s in store for Donja’s future? Is it new everlasting friendships, love and healing from the past or all of the above? Will she overcome her fears pains and insecurities? Can she accept Torin for what he is and better yet, can he control his hungry eyes? Will Donja love and accept the new additions to her family?
What I really loved and appreciate about the book was the fact that even if it’s a fictional novel with fictional characters yet the author managed to talk and bring light to many issues people face on daily basis all around the world such as : people blaming themselves for things they can’t control, the pain , heritage and culture insecurities and issues , the grieving and the empty space a loved one leaves when they pass away , how people deal with the death of their loved ones in different extreme dangerous ways and how their actions affect their families , but most importantly how families stick together through thick and thin and , how there’s always hope in this world and how small additions can change your life to a better one, how accepting yourself and others makes a difference not only for you but others as well and finally how facing your insecurities fears and pain is the only way to lead a better life. I honestly loved each and every character equally because any one of us can relate to them in something even if it’s only a fracture of Their fears, insecurities or even positive qualities. In all honesty I really enjoyed the book to the point where I felt empty after I finished reading I think this book is suitable to people around the age from 18 years up due to some steamy content it’s also suitable for the lovers of fiction and vampire novels and most importantly romance.
There’s nothing I wish to change about the book it’s perfect the way it is there’s a sequence of events the plot is perfect you can follow the story without getting lost the characters description are perfect to the point when reading feels like watching a movie.
