Review of Hallowed Ground
The young diligent and industrious nurse Samantha Paige gets furious enough to hit a respected surgeon in the face, as if not enough, she treats the surgeon to a tantrum of extremely mean words. Even though her outrageous outburst, very justified of her in my opinion, was motivated by the death of a patient as a result of Dr. Lescher's ignorance, It all ended in her immediate suspension from her position as the Critical Care Coordinator, she was fired. With a loathsome woman for her mother back home, her being sacked did not make her relationship with her mother any better. This could not be said of her father, he was a loving parent. Samantha really needed to figure out a lot of things about herself, perhaps put her thoughts in order. She opted to leave for the only place she knew she could find her peace of mind, her uncle Rufus' place in Franklin, Tennessee. But then, she did not have the slightest idea of what awaited her in Franklin. She meets TJ Carter, the breathtaking and vibrant president of the Civil War battlefield preservation association. Is there anything going to happen between the two?
Samantha arrives just when a looming disaster was taking root in the historical town of Franklin. Some rich figures in the town were after launching business enterprises on the Franklin battlefields. TJ Carter was not ready to allow this and with the little resources at his exposure, he was determined to fight them to the end of it all. Before Samantha knew it, she was in the middle of all this and madly in love with TJ Carter. As impossible as it seems, will TJ Carter stop the quest for the land? Will he lose Samantha in the process? Or in the first place, will Samantha get the peace of mind she so badly craved for? Get yourself Cindy Ziperman's Hallowed Ground and relish the great piece of work.
Cindy Ziperman has a great choice of words. Her style of writing gives the Hallowed Ground a professional touch right from the start. She uses long, well structured sentence that are appropriately loaded with well thought about expressions. Her ability to twist her sentences around and employ a rich set of vocabularies make the book very engaging. Cindy Ziperman's ideas flow effortlessly giving the plot a beautiful flow.
The characters in the book Hallowed Ground are well developed. As much as Cindy pays attention to the outward attributes of her characters, she depicts their personalities with such vivid clarity. Cindy's style of writing is very intriguing, her words are passionate and they serve exemplarily well to harness the intended emotions in the characters. This she couples with a brilliant skill to hold the reader in ultimate suspense. I find this combination an ingenious way to make the book enthralling and entertaining. Hallowed Ground is packed with passion, love, tension, rage, action and much more.
You will most definitely fall in love with some of the characters in Hallowed Ground. Cindy depicts their good traits with an intimate tone and an impressive amount of vigor. For instance, you will love Samantha from the start, you will loathe everyone who tries to surround her with bad energy. You will want the best for her, you will support every choice she makes. When things go well for her, you won't be able to contain the joy in you. When things don't go her way, you'll sympathize with her or perhaps be sad. She is an adorable character with a big heart. At one point, Samantha literally starves herself just for TJ Carter to eat because it was the only meal, this is after TJ is ruthlessly beaten up by some goons and she has to nurse him.
I did not find any error in the book, it is exceptionally and professionally edited. I did not find anything to dislike about Hallowed Ground. Cindy's sense of humor and the lively dialogues in the book made me love it even more. Enthusiasts of history fiction with a touch of romance and action will love this book. I rate it 4 out of 4 stars.
