Lauren Powers acknowledges her father, David MacDonald, for her Grade A mentality, which has made her naturally inclined to positivism in her novel, Beneath the Muscle. Isn't it wonderful, though, that she remained focused and fearless as a child, never allowing bullies to knock her down? After all, it's because of this acquired behavior that she's been able to undertake employment in male-dominated industries later on in life.

Several women close to Powers, including her mother, grandmother, and aunt, could have influenced her empowered attitude. She thrived in various high-octane activities both in and out of school. For example, she was ranked the top woman boater out of fifty-two women picked to paddle on the Molokai Channel, the Hawaiian Islands' toughest channel.

Powers' book surely provides considerable food for thought, with an exuberant perspective of devoting no regard to negative thoughts. She sees a component of masking dark ideas that hide our true selves so that we can cope with reality through what she refers to as being "Behind the Mask." She used the scenario of some superstar who acted joyous and humorous in public but was a gravely depressed soul behind the mask. Furthermore, any of the chapter titles in Part 3 of this book read like individualized mantras that can enact positivity in one's life.

Powers, a former drug user who rose to prominence in the fitness world, encourages her readers never to be scared of making errors. Committing errors is, in fact, the mentality that has attributed to the grateful tone that runs through her writing. As a result, she holds in high regard her mother's friend and drug rehabilitation personnel, who came to her rescue when she was at her lowest point due to drug and alcohol usage. She discovered her "why" in life after this most challenging time in her life, which is to use her successes as a forum to appeal to more people and, in the process, help humanity.

As a result, Powers has included a free supplemental worksheet to assist me in personalizing the lessons and insights in her novel in the hopes of revealing my inner champion. Embracing the required adjustments in one's living is what victory entails, and I believed this was yet another significant selling point of her book. Meanwhile, I've been admiring Powers' countless cool photos of her posing with other incredibly competent celebs such as singer Katy Perry and others.

I believe Powers accomplished her main goal of writing this book. Moreover, I did not encounter any editing problems throughout the book, and therefore its editors were professional. To sum up, what I loved best about the book was how the writer focused the plot on her potential reader rather than herself. I give this book four out of four stars for the reasons mentioned above.

In your quest for excellence, Beneath the Muscle is your fitness instructor. To you, I recommended Lauren Powers' emotional handbook to self-acceptance and lifetime accomplishment if you enjoy stretching limits, real-world motivational sayings, and effective guidance from a reputable expert.
