PRESIDENT'S DAY by Dr. Stephen A. Werbel

This novel is crime fiction which began with a 90year old woman, Sylvia Parrish who woke up in the hospital and realised she was been charged with murder of the president, which she could not remember. She could remember the events of the day which also happened to be her birthday up to few hours before the said crime occurred. Surprisingly, she could not remember what led to her killing the president.

However, through the help of a psychiatrist she was able to recall the ordeals that led to the killing of the president via hypnosis and also by watching videos of herself repeatedly performing the act. She had a lot of supporters who felt she did a good thing since the president was a wicked and unjust man.

After few days of trial in court, she was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to life imprisonment via house arrest.

This book is fascinating and easy to read, with some suspense also in it. It showed that something good could come out from a bad situation. It also teaches us that anger controls one's actions with many ripple effects which may be catastrophic.

However there are numerous typographical errors. I would say this book did not have exceptional editing.

Also, in my opinion I felt there were too many repetitions. For example, 'She went to the toilet, washed her face, brushed her teeth' seemed to appear alot of times.

"I would rate this book 3 stars out of 4".

This book is an interesting read which captured my attention from start to finish. Apart from the typos and repetitions, I think it's a good one and I would recommend it to anyone.
