Happiness is All We Want! is a book about how to keep the body, mind, and soul in constant happiness. The author asks the readers to take a moment and look back at our lives. Having a calm mind is essential. Ashutosh Mishra talks widely about the importance of meditation when there is a busy day schedule ahead. The author speaks more about Yoga and its hidden healing powers. He also mentions Reiki, a Japanese treatment for healing and rejuvenating our energies.

In one part of the book, the author sets forth the importance of having balanced diets. Taking in the required calories for our body is essential. This must neither exceed nor reduce the needed levels of calories. Exercising, swimming, and cardio are three vital deeds we should implement in our daily lives. The author states sitting in front of the “idiot box” and playing video games have taken a huge toll on us in recent years. Getting up early and going to bed early is something that everyone should follow strictly.

The author provides some happy moments, practical tips, well-being stories, wake-up stories, wellness stories, spiritual stories, and tech traps which make this book interesting. Lots of ideas and examples are provided by Ashutosh Mishra to attain our spiritual needs. Spirituality is connected with the soul. I find it fascinating where the author writes a lot about karma and rebirth. There is always a sense of fear over something throughout our lives. The human mind is one big enigma that needs to be cleaned often.

I would rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. The reason is for the author’s simple words of insight and enlightening thoughts on how to live a happy life. It is not just physical. Spiritual awakening is also required. I liked the author’s way of laying out things. I admired the parts where a human being was compared to a donkey or a racehorse. Of course, not literally! The one thing that I didn’t prefer was the constant repetition of things related to Yoga and Buddha. I laud the author for talking about selfless actions.

This book is ideal for people who are in desperate search of happiness and joy. This book will give you lots of ideas to start with. Various incidents that happened to various prominent people are mentioned by the author, which is an added bonus. I recommend all age groups to give this book a read. It will surely be useful. The main purpose of our life on this earth is to be happy. Happiness is All We Want! is a great book to achieve that happiness.
