Review of Bluewater Walkabout
As humankind, we have our own stories, and each one evokes a distinctive state of feeling. Whether it’s a happy memory or a painful one, we will most often remember it. As for the author of this book, the same could be stated. Tina Dreffin was able to fearlessly narrate a tale of heartbreak, bereavement, a nearly severed family bond, and a breathtaking sea voyage, particularly in Africa. They'll have to deal with some terrifying ordeals that will challenge them, test their mettle, and teach them valuable lessons along the way. If you read this memoir, you will be transported to another era and place. Therefore, set aside some time to enjoy this engaging tale, which includes both happy and sorrowful moments.
Tina's account riveted me because it exemplifies the kind of grim determination that everyone should aspire to when confronted with life's most trying moments. For all of her hardships as a mother, wife, and woman in general, she and her family proved that they were invincible. The author's ability to connect with the audience is what I appreciate most about this book. Ocean life is certainly a harrowing experience that not everyone can endure due to the lack of inhabitants in the area, infrastructure, and the ocean’s proximity to urban centers, yet they were able to survive. Furthermore, owing to her virtue and sincerity, Tina served as a good example for the readers of this book. All of which serve to emphasize the good points of this memoir.
An exciting and emotionally engrossing sequence of events is apparent in each passage of the book, which has 23 separate chapters. When Tina's sexual assault and the loss of her child are mentioned, I can't help but shed a tear. It's fair to say that the novel's tone is not my cup of tea, but the general premise of this incredible book attracted my attention.
Bluewater Walkabout had a terrific and exciting ending, and I'm sure there will be a continuation to anticipate. Throughout the family’s journey to conquest, I learned a number of valuable lessons. Furthermore, the title, cover, and overall plotline are all excellent. As a result, I’m giving this book a 3 out of 4 stars. I was about to give it a perfect rating, but I spotted numerous errors in it.
It's a great book for anyone who appreciates family adventures and wants to learn from people who have been in the family’s shoes, most notably with Tina. I didn't notice any serious profanities that would turn off young adults or some overly sensitive adults, so this is for them, particularly for women. This book is a must-read because the family’s uplifting experience will teach us so much.
