Was there ever a time that you wondered about the best way to use idioms that would appear natural? If yes, then I'm sure that you must have also struggled with how to get your hands on books that discuss some popular and well-used idioms in great detail. That is what Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (Trad. Chinese Edition) focuses on. It has over 200 idioms and their meanings in it, all of which have been translated into Traditional Chinese. These idioms touch on different aspects and activities in everyday life.

I liked how the whole book was divided into 25 chapters. As someone who values order, cramming everything into one chapter would have been disastrous for my mind. And each chapter focused on a particular aspect or topic of life. Some of these focuses are morning, evening, shopping, dining, etc. They were very simple to understand and even simpler to use. The many examples that the author painstakingly gave made it so.

Some pictures helped explain certain idioms. It may not seem like much, but I believe that it will go on to achieve its goal. I said this because I experienced that I retained idioms that were described with pictures more than I did those that weren't.

I liked everything in Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (Trad. Chinese Edition) and I can comfortably say that I did not despise anything in it. While I can say that I liked everything, what I liked the most was the various activities at the end of the chapters. After each lecture in each chapter, stories were given and questions were asked to make the readers practice what they had learned. This is genius, and it showed me that the author is truly passionate about adding value to his readers' lives.

As a book that made me like everything in it, I rate it four out of four stars. It was worth the read because I successfully learned from it. As someone who is in the process of learning Chinese, the translation helped me grow in my quest to learn another language. It was edited exceptionally too.

Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (Trad. Chinese Edition) is best suited for Chinese people who strongly desire to learn English idioms and the best way to use them. If you wish to learn English and are just a beginner, this book may not help you much. I think that it is best for people who have mastered the language to a certain degree.
