Rise of the Savior by Antoine Bonner is a 494 paged sci-fi and fantasy, written in 23 chapters, seems short but fully packed to the brim with interesting content and overflowing with mind-blowing scenes, almost like seeing a Marvel movie.
The book opens with the introduction of a family of four, parents with their two daughters, Amanda and Saira, engrossed in a game. Amanda who wants to fight karate and not go to college in the neighborhood and her sister, Saira devoid of emotions ever since gaining her powers of teleportation and abnormal intelligence which makes her seem strange to the family, she now moves like a robot and is incapable of happiness, sadness, or any other human emotions.
The book brings to light the life of two families, one happy and harmonious, Amanda's family, and the other family, James' family in discord, disharmony, an unhealthy child, and on the brink of a divorce. One thing these two families had in common was some members possessed superpowers and are left to decide on what to do with these powers, would they use them for good or evil? Will James succeed in his 'self-righteous' goal of saving his son? Will the sisters learn to control their powers and save the world?

The book is a great read as it already captures readers from the very beginning and explores their curiosity. The author's diction is simple and easily followed. The book has a nice storyline and the way the characters are related to each other, even without knowing it is intriguing, the point where I realized the kidnappers, the mime, and Jacob were actually neighbors with Amanda's family.

One issue with the book is its structure, it has a confusing structure, and the way events roll into each other seems to cause confusion, also characters have no prior introduction before they are thrown into the story.
Although the fight scenes are great yet they seem a little perplexing.

I rate Rise of the Savior by Antoine Bonner 3 out of 4 stars as although it is a great book, it is quite confusing and does not have a free flow of events. Also, it possesses several errors both in terms of punctuation and tenses.

I recommend this book to every lover of a good action novel who doesn't mind a bit of a wild imagination. I see no one disliking this book as it doesn't have any sex scenes, just a little bit of profanity as the protagonist turns out to be a big lover of Samuel L. Jackson.

This is a very informative review. Well compressed and detailed. I'm not a complete lover of sci-fi related stuffs, but with this review and the storyline of RISE OF THE SAVIOR itself, I've been able to a get more fascinating picture of sci-fi and fantasy. I guess a review as this will trigger the interest of anyone to want to read the book.
