The Fast Starting a Career of Consequence: Workbook, by Fred Sievert, is an extremely useful guide to anyone entering or re-entering the workforce amidst the pandemic, as the author states. This guidebook goes over how both Christians and non-Christians can have a successful career through the use of biblical-based instruction. You can expect to find practical advice that applies in everyday life. This quick read is an immensely beneficial workbook that can teach anyone how to not just hold a job but also excel at it.

Throughout the entire book, the author, Fred Sievert, asks questions after each chapter that insures the advice truly resonates with the reader. These questions ask us not only to take mental notes and evaluate our personal goals but also physically write the advice within the pages of the book in the space provided by the author. After the space used for note-taking, there is a section dedicated to the use of giving the reader a model of what to pray for regarding the previous chapter. The complete absence of all grammatical, spacing, and clarity errors is evidence that this was professionally edited and reviewed.

The entire book was spectacular. The author beautifully incorporates bible verses with personal experiences that come together to create a workbook that accurately entails how to exceed in your current or future position. This also allows employees to improve the company they work for. I couldn’t find a single error or area that needs improvement. An expert writer who had invaluable knowledge to share truly wrote this. There is nothing negative about this book at all. The author provides the last few pages of the book to showcase websites and articles that further support his claims made in the early chapters so that the reader can explore more on any individual concept.

I give the book a rating of 4 out of 4. The lack of grammatical and clarity errors, along with the amount of useful information provided, makes this read perfect. Through the use of questionnaires, the author made the book very engaging and I see absolutely no room for improvement.

I recommend this book to those entering, currently in, or re-entering the workforce. Also, this book would be a great resource for college students who may view entering the workforce as a daunting or near-impossible task. Young adults and adults alike can easily understand the advice shared by the author. Overall, the author provided through-provoking concepts that can help teens prepare for working or aid those currently pursuing their careers.
