The healthcare department has progressed over the years. Doing house calls for your patients as a doctor has become old-fashioned. As a result of that, the patient-doctor relationship has started to fade away. Barbara Galutia Regis PA-C provides us with all the helpful methods that we can implement when it comes to healthcare in her non-fiction book called Surviving the Business of Healthcare.

In this phenomenal book, Regis writes chapters that are short and easy to understand. In these chapters, she writes about ways of staying informed about your health, choosing the best health insurance for you and your family. She also provides us with information based on the different healthcare practitioners and what each practitioner specialises in as well as finding more about being admitted in the hospital of your choice. In this book, the author explains her job and she names herself as the "cradle-to-give practitioner." She also mentions the importance of choosing the best primary care physician for your family. All in all, the author mentions all the things that you should look out for as a patient, in terms of your health.

What I liked about this book was that the author managed to break down her different chapters into pages that ranged from 2 to 3 and she also avoided using too many medical terminologies. This book was written in a chronological order. I also liked the fact that the author chose to tackle a very important issue that many people choose to shy away from, which is taking care of you and your family's health. I also liked the fact that this book was written by someone who is a cancer survivor as well as a medical care practitioner. This shows that she wrote from her own experiences.

There is absolutely nothing that I disliked about this book. One of the chapters that I liked was chapter 10, where she talked about how people take advantage of the elderly people because they can see that they cannot take care of themselves and think critically about their healthcare. This book was professionally edited, as I did not find any errors.

Therefore, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I highly recommend it to people who want to learn more about the healthcare department and those who want to make better decisions when it comes to taking care of their health.
