The question, "why can't Jonny quit" is a misconception as quiting an addiction is not all about stopping. Well, overcoming an addiction is one of the toughest battles in life. The book, Why Can't Johnny Quit? by Kyle Oh, is a guide on what addiction is, why some people get hooked, while most don't and what happens in the brain as addiction sets in that to make those who are addicted follow such self-distraction behaviors that often baffle common sense. The book will help those who suffer to bring it under control and helps them understand why it happens. The book also has some tips on how to keep from getting an addition. There have been an incomplete information about addictions, both who are hooked to drugs as well as those in medical field treating it. The author's concern is about this issue and has made the best learning to solve it. The best way to prevent from being hooked with the drug is by educating the people about why some people get hooked and what the early warning signs are that one may be susceptible to getting hooked. Drugs react differently in different people. For instance, some people may use a drug and it would not affect them, infact they would argue It would be of benefit to them, while another group will disagree on this, because they may have used the same drug and it affected them. This differences in opinions makes difficult in helping those affected to overcome it or those who want to use it, not to do so. The ultimate price for addiction is that it can destroy your life.

One of the good things about the book is that the author has included real life experiences with people who had gone through an addiction which is of great help to people who are going through a similar addiction. I also love the author's boldness to point out against such campaigns as "say no to drugs" which may be good, but are not offering whole solution to those who are suffering from addiction.

There is absolutely nothing that I did not like about the book. It is an amazing book, especially the author's ability to handle the topic about addiction, every how, why and what it leads into.

I rate the book four out of four stars. This is because the book is excellently written. It does not have any noticeable mistakes. Also no use of vulgar language whatsoever. It's usefulness to the society can not be overlooked as addiction is a major battle in the society. The author has also done a great job in putting the the book together as he has included online links to get further information on the same.

The book is best suited to those who are struggling with an addition and want to overcome it. Those who are treating people with an addiction should also have the book.
