Health Tip, Myth and Tricks” by Dr. Morton E. Travel is a non-fictional book about our health. The book has three parts. The first part is the tips; this deal on health and wellness incorporated into our daily lives, creating a healthier physical outlook. The second is the myths which deal with the common misconceptions about our physical makeup and how we relate to the world around us. The third is the tricks; this exposes the stratagems designed to take our money in exchange for useless or dangerous products or information.

This book is very informative, educating, and resourceful. I find many topics helpful, some of them are “Heartburn: some important facts and suggestions,” “Sleep nice or pay the price,” “The many benefits of regular exercise” and “What to do about a cold.” I find the simple steps that can help overcome insomnia on page 117 helpful. I could also relate to some of the myths talked about in the book. One of which is the “Belief in conspiracy theories about health.”

I like the author's discussions of each topic in separate chapters making for easy identification when looking for a particular subject. I like that the author states scientific theories where available this gives the reader opinion that is proven. I like that there is something in the book for everyone since it has to do with health covering various topics. I like that readers can pick a topic they relate with and read instead of reading the whole book.

I dislike some of the topics because they are too scientific, making them difficult to understand. I dislike that the theories used are limited to the United States. Also, the writer keeps making references to cases in the United States when the book is helpful to everyone around the world. Dr. Morton could have added theories in other countries to help create a sense of belonging and inclusiveness as the book is useful to all.

The book is exceptionally well-edited and, the dislikes mentioned above took nothing away from the book. So, I rate the book a 4 out of 4 stars. I will recommend this book to anyone of readable age as the book treats relatable health topics. My advice to readers is for them to go through the outlines and read topics related to them, so they don't feel overwhelm by trying to read the whole book at once.
