Review of Bitcoin Answered
Bitcoin Answered: A Beginner's Guide to Everything Bitcoin by Jon Law and Alan John is a book that gives a very comprehensive account of the concept of Bitcoin. The authors discuss everything from the origin of Bitcoin to how it works. The book answers and clears many common questions and doubts people have about bitcoin and exposes many myths about it. The book has several other educational aspects on this topic.
The authors introduce Satoshi Nakamoto as the mysterious person or group who created bitcoin and explain Bitcoin itself as an open-source, peer-to-peer computer network, a collection of protocols, a digital gold, and a cryptocurrency. In each chapter, a specific question that is relevant for a better understanding of Bitcoin is introduced, followed by an exhaustive script answering the question. I found this pattern very satisfying and appropriate for a book that intends to educate readers on an unfamiliar and new topic. The authors express their vast knowledge of Bitcoin unambiguously that is easier to understand for the general population. The book is devoid of long rants with technical terms that may bore or discourage someone from reading on. In their writing, the authors warn the reader of the various opportunities and risks involved with investing in cryptocurrencies. These are some of the many things that I found appealing about the book.
There are many illustrations throughout the book, which enhance the learning process. Towards the end, the authors have provided us with numerous links and sources that can aid one in further exploring the ever-expanding world of cryptocurrency. Additionally, they have cited all the sources and references clearly, so we can be sure that the information is accurate. This book carries exceptional importance in today's world, where information about cryptocurrency and its finer details are either inadequate or inaccurate. The authors don't show any reluctance in even bringing up the unlikeliest of questions and explaining them. This approach ensures the complete satisfaction of the reader in terms of content and unanswered questions.
The innumerable reasons above are why I rate this book with 4 out of 4 stars . It is a very informative read and is meticulously put together with no notable errors.
Those who wish to learn more about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general, those planning to participate in trading or investing with bitcoin and are unaware of the risks, benefits, and techniques associated with it, would benefit from this book.
