Review of Cynthia and Dan
Cynthia and Dan: Cyber War by Dorothy May Mercer is a very intriguing and love-filled book. Senator McBride's chief security officer in Washington, D.C., is Cynthia Patterson. She makes sure everything at McBride's office remains private and secure by posing as his receptionist. She also collaborates with her private investigator, Glenn, to wage an online fight against terrorists operating in the United States and other countries. To complete their crew, they hire two computer-savvy college students. Learn how to dismantle terrorist networks and thwart their plans using social media and the internet by reading this article.
Along with all the action of battling terrorists, the romantic plotline permeates the entire book. Sergeant Dan McIntyre of the Fairfax Police Department has been Cynthia's longtime boyfriend, and the two have a cozy relationship. But will they ever have a romantic relationship? When a drone crashes on the White House lawn one day, it backs up traffic downtown, where Cynthia meets Sky, a strange but attractive man. He seems to know a lot about Cynthia, which worries Cynthia, but she knows very little about him and his history. Sky uses her to approach the senator, but why? Has he earned her trust?
My favorite portion of the scene is when the author clarifies a useful perspective regarding birth control and contraception. I find this information interesting and helpful. I found the book to be educational and offer a thorough understanding of cyber war. With that said, I will say that the author did thorough research before writing this book. I appreciate how she explains all the drugs and their applications in the book. She is a very talented writer. Her ability to combine crime and romance is something else I like about her.
I can't genuinely say that I loved the book to the fullest. Cynthia threw herself into a stranger's hands out of devotion, which bothered me. As the leader of an investigation team and the secretary to an important man who defends the government's interests, she should have known that Sky might be a trap to bring down her and the entire team. This attribute gives the book an unrealistic appearance. There is also no satisfactory conclusion to the story of her lover, Dan, who is one of the book's primary characters. I couldn't figure out what happened to him throughout the book.
I think readers who don't want a lot of realism or character development should read this book. On the other hand, this book won't appeal to those who desire a well-rounded story with lots of action. I also recommend it to everyone who loves books full of suspense.
Since there were no obvious errors and the book was exceptionally well-edited, I gave it a rate of 5 out of 5 stars. Secondly, the book's suspense held my attention till I finished reading. To discover what occurs next, I felt the need to read more and more. Finally, while reading the book, I never felt bored because it was full of suspense. Readers who enjoy suspense and romance novels will enjoy this book.
