Chronicles:Journey Toward Hope by Marvin Wilmes talks about a life of hope, faith, perseverance, and surrender. In this book, Marvin Wilmes openly shared his fifteen losses in life which he successfully overcome. Those are losing some of his immediate family members, his job, and others. He also undergone banckruptcy which turned his life quite burdensome. Life test him but he combat, and win the battle. His faith in God made him courageous, and make things work out. Learn from this book.

The book is short with one hundred seventy-nine pages but it is packed with life lessons. Marvin Wilmes generously shared his battle in life throughout this book. It was motivating. The book covers a lot of author's experiences from his job, his family, and his business. Things are a bit harder as he go along the way but with his faith and perseverance, he managed it all. The book made me realized how God works into our lives. The book taught that everything happens in God's perfect timing. The book is also quite spiritual since the author expressed his faith in God. I like it since I believe in God. Author's courageous personality attract readers to do the same in life - never lose hope and never give up amidst all the trials. The book taught how to surrender to God whatever your sufferings in life.

Moreover, the book was well-edited. I couldn't spot any grammatical and typographical errors in it. Author's writing style is very simple, and he used plain English to make the book more commendable and comprehensible to the average readers.

With regards to negative aspects, the book is not well-organized. Besides, it has an unpleasant format. The font size is tiny which made my eyes uncomfortable consequently hinders my reading speed, and reading enjoyment. Thus, I would give Chronicles: Journey Toward Hope 3 out of 4 stars because of those negative aspects I've mentioned. It made me deduct one star because I was not fully enjoyed due to some unlikable side. But I know that readers have different experience from the book. I may not have full satisfaction from the book but it might be very satisfying to other audiences.

As a result, the book is recommendable to those who experienced grief and hardships in life that is thinking to give up. This book is also suitable for those who seek meaningful life since author's life journey portrays about it. This book offers encouragement to those people who feel lost. This book is worth to read specially for those people who have experiencing losses in life, and wanted to stand again. This book is a good fit for you.
