was completely swept away by this book. The author's ability to create a fully-realized and believable world was impressive. The attention to detail was astounding and made me feel like I was living in that world myself. The characters were so memorable and I found myself thinking about them long after I finished the book."

This review makes me yearn to know why king Anrem swore that none of his children would learn magic and also to know what acts did Marrock "a Prince" do that was big enough to warrant being disowned.

I like the way this review was written. I find it to be very detailed and doesn't lack in any single aspect. I like that the plot was interesting and the characters were well developed by the author.

Am impressed Catrin was so concerned about the battleship approaching them. But King Anrem didn't make the right decision by banishing his first son, his own flesh and blood.

I found myself invested in the characters' fates and rooting for them throughout the story. The author did an excellent job of making me care about what happened to them.

The way the author explored themes of love, loyalty, and betrayal added depth to the story and made it more than just a simple historical romance.

From this review, I can tell that the writers ability to blend historical facts with imaginative storytelling creates a harmonious balance that appeals to both history enthusiasts and fans of compelling fiction.

I wasn't happy with Catrin's family's disapproval of the love she had for Marrock. Though it was a struggle she faced as an individual when her personal desires conflicted with familial obligations and societal norms.
