Book Review: "Crazy Time" by L. Andrew Cooper

"Crazy Time: A Bizarre Battle with Darkness and the Divine" by L. Andrew Cooper is a captivating horror fiction novel that delves into the depths of terror and the supernatural. The story revolves around Lily Henshaw, whose life takes a harrowing turn when a sinister attack leaves her as the sole survivor among her group of friends. This tragic event sets off a chain of inexplicable and unsettling occurrences that lead Lily to question her connection to a higher power. In her quest for answers, Lily embarks on a journey that blurs the lines between reality and imagination.

Cooper's narrative brilliantly captures Lily's mental anguish, paranoia, and fear, immersing readers in the unsettling atmosphere of her experiences. The plot unfolds at a relentless pace, delivering the expected horrors while cleverly infusing moments of humor to maintain engagement. Throughout the story, the author skillfully plays with the boundaries of reality, keeping readers on their toes as they question what is real and what is imagined.

One notable strength of "Crazy Time" lies in its rich language, which introduces readers to a wealth of vocabulary. The story's pacing ensures that it remains engaging and avoids monotony.

However, it is essential to note that this book contains explicit violence and language that may not be suitable for all readers. The relentless darkness that pervades the narrative can be emotionally taxing and might deter some from completing the book. Additionally, the sense of hopelessness prevalent in the story could be a potential drawback for certain readers.

The book is impeccably edited, and free from major errors or typos.

I would award "Crazy Time" a rating of three out of five stars. The deduction in stars is primarily due to the graphic and violent content, which, while possibly essential to the story, made me uncomfortable. The frequent references to the Bible and Christianity throughout the book may also be unsettling for some readers.

I recommend "Crazy Time" to those who seek an immersive and intense literary experience, particularly fans of horror, suspense, and thrillers. However, it should be approached with caution, as it is not suitable for children or individuals who may be sensitive to graphic and disturbing content.

I am not a fan of horror stories, but it seems from your review that the author did a good job, although there's some points of disagreement. Your review is beautifully coordinated. You did a great job Shilpy.

Thank you for the appreciation, Sarah.

Since I have joined this site, I am trying to improve on my writing and reviewing skills. But some things are very confusing here, and I was just about to give-up today. Your reply really came out of nowhere and has pepped me up :)
