India has always appealed to me because of its rich culture, religion, and history. I am particularly interested in learning more about the Kashmir region, its people, and their way of life. I appreciate that the author has made it easy to read, considering that topics like history and politics can often be complex. Thank you for your review; I will definitely give it a try.

I always love stories about places I'm unfamiliar with. This will be an interesting book to explore, especially since I still don't know much about regions in India, especially Kashmir. Reading your review makes me even more eager to read this book. Thank you for writing this. What a great review.
Your Sincerely

This book promises to do one of the things I love most about books, and that is the power to make you travel through space and time and going to places you'd never imagine to be in your natural life. The author describes Kashmir in such a beautiful way that it only serves in making it all even more painful because how can a place so beautiful become a place of such grief and suffering because people with power decided to? The investigation done into writing this book was absolutely brilliant, and all the testimonies given to show the humanity of it all and put it a face and say "this is not a faceless war. these are the people that are suffering" is actually something powerful and that left me a bit speechless.

Learning about new cultures and places is something I thoroughly enjoy. I have definitely heard of Kashmir but I do not know the ins and outs of what is going on over there. I’m gonna have to get the book to find out more information.

It is always fascinating to find a book that presents a balanced picture and thus the complexity of a particular situation, such as the one in Kashmir; such books are rare. As a result, I appreciate the impartiality employed by Farhana Qazi and look forward to learning how the issues presented above (history, culture and politics) intertwine to bring such immense suffering.
Many thanks for the amazing, gripping review. :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat:
