Secrets of the Kashmir Valley by Farhana Qazi, who's an American with Pakistani origins, is a book that attempts to share the story of Kashmir. I agree with the author: it's a beautiful, magical land, and it also has a lot of violence due to terrorism. I sampled the book and found quite a few factual inaccuracies and felt it was one-sided. One instance was this sentence, "Kashmir was a casual invention of British colonial masters..." Congratulations on the BOTD, though!

War usually harms all people in the war areas whether physically, mentally, or emotionally. This is a great book exploring the concept. Congrats on BOTD

"Secrets of the Kashmir Valley" is a book that features insightful real-life stories of the Kashmir people. The stories, both fascinating and touching, are aimed at creating awareness of what is happening in Kashmir. This is one of the many stories that have to be told. Congrats on BOTD!

Hi @Dalia Chf, I just read your comments on the official review of "Secrets of the Kashmir Valley" and I agree that war is terrible and to fight over this valley instead of sharing it is something I do not understand. The loss of life has been tragic. @Mrlefty0706
