I prepared my mind to look forward to the judicial battle between the developer and Bridget. I was taken aback when you mentioned that there were murders in this battle. It made me curious to know what this book holds. Thanks for arousing my curiosity with your well-crafted review.

The green-colored cover contained a picture of a castle-like tower, the title House of Eire, and a small three-leaf shamrock. I assumed this novel would have some Irish content and was not disappointed.
It's funny that you mentioned 'believe it or not' because I actually dislike the book cover so much that I would have passed on the book. However, I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the book. I guess the saying 'never judge a book by its cover' really applies here.

I don't really know much about the Irish one but I am interested in learning about there history. Okay what was the Irish famine all about. I loved reading your review though.

I enjoy reading stories from different places. It helps me imagine being there, even if I've never been. I'll be happy to learn a little bit about Ireland from this book. Your review is truly insightful. Thank you!

Many books today borrow from Irish mythology but don't show the true Irish culture. I also enjoy a good family story.

I liked your comment that "No one was a superhero." That is a common issue with writing and I appreciate when authors instead make people REAL.

Many themes are presented in the story. It's nice to know some Irish heritage. Thank you for the review, Gerry.

I agree with you Kristin. I like to read a good story that has normal people as characters. Real people can do great and exciting things. :techie-studyinggray:

This sounds like a fascinating exploration of the interaction between Ireland's past and present. I think I recall from other reviews that this has a paranormal element. I enjoyed reading your clearly written review.

Yes, there are restless ghosts who died during the Potato Famine of the 1840's. Thank you for your feedback. :techie-studyinggray:

Hi Gerry, the cover is quite conspicuous, I must say. It is unique. I love murder and mystery books. This one seems action filled and am sure I will really love it. Thanks for the intriguing review!
