"The Unfakeable Code" by Tony Jeton Selimi doesn't fit the standard format of self-help literature. Of course, it provides a roadmap to self-discovery, but at the same time, Selimi’s background in engineering makes her a refreshing, analytical opponent in a world mostly coated with rainbows. Let's see. Imagine it as an owner's manual for your very own self.

The process kicks off with self-reflection. Selimi makes an effort to reveal those that are constructed by society in terms of thoughts and behaviors in order to understand what we actually value and why we do things like this. This might be a confrontational exercise that will make you expose some unbearable truths or brainwash some deep-rooted beliefs about yourself that you are not aware of. Selimi introduces you to a variety of coping strategies, such as journaling prompts, personality tests, and many others, to assist you with inner digging and exploration.

With self-achievement in mind, you are ready for the next step: self-expression. Selimi addresses the effectiveness of non-violent communication, suggesting how to say what you need without being aggressive. The speaker deals with the fear of rejection as well, a trigger that keeps many from pursuing true-to-self expressions. But authenticity requires control. The book equips you with self-management skills: setting boundaries, managing your feelings, and defining things for yourself. Here, tips on effectively managing time, aims, and ways of steering clear of people-pleasing traps are given.

Lastly, you discover who you were all along. Selimi explains that there will be no one who can completely satisfy the thirst for an authentic self unless the foundation of basic needs is met. After that, he guides you in identifying your personal specific talents and makes use of them to build up on the road towards your dreams. It is a call to uprising, saying goodbye to your comfort zone, and the birth of a new life.

My rating will be 5 out of 5 stars. The 'Unfakeable Code' is a lot more than a mere set of instructions. Telling real-life stories makes it understandable, and it takes on tough issues like imposter syndrome. The editing was completely amazing. There was nothing to dislike about the book. Whether you are serious-minded and eager to commit to the journey, this book will provide a systematic blueprint for becoming your true self. It's not a panacea, but it's an irreplaceable tool to have with you on the journey to a happier life.
