Review of The Unbound Soul
"The Unbound Soul" by Richard L. Haight is a book about spiritual enlightenment, martial arts, and healing. When he was eight years old, he had a dream in which Jesus ordered him to find his bones because they were the basis of his teachings. This dream marked the beginning of his journaling in the field of spiritual awakening. This implies that he must discover the real cornerstones and core of Jesus' teachings, which he must then impart to the entire world. But because he was too young to fulfill this responsibility, he made a tragic error in life. However, he experienced divine involvement and direction, ultimately leading to enlightenment.
All metaphysical and spiritual literature, in my opinion, is written with varying degrees of expertise and understanding. What I did not like about this book is that it is too sophisticated for beginning spiritual seekers. It is indeed necessary to start with the fundamentals before one can comprehend the more complex texts. This book is definitely sophisticated. Anyone who is at an advanced stage of their spirituality should read this memoir, as it can be a little perplexing for people who are unfamiliar with some new-age spiritual concepts. This book was edited flawlessly, and there were no errors. I liked the author's justification of Isness or Soul as the book went on. I also liked how the author's account of moving from a small ranch to Georgia and then living in Oregon piqued my curiosity.
I give this book a top rating of 5 out of 5 because it is a synthesis of the various religious viewpoints that make us know more about spirituality. I recommend this book to anyone interested in spiritual growth. I also recommend this book to everyone who has the curiosity to go behind the self-imposed personalities and the confining walls of the mind to see what's truly going on in the universe.
