This book "Dumb" Orphans, written by Allan Low, was such an exciting and interesting story. This book is about 7 orphans in Africa. They became orphans when their moms passed away. Their moms worked in a factory that had HIV go through and kill many of the workers. When news spread of the deaths, the children were immediately sent to an orphan hut that had a 15-year-old orphan in charge. At first, the children were not allowed to go to the community school. They were given chores, such as fetching water for the Headman Meyego, as well as for their own hut. The children also had to herd the cattle. All the chores left no time for schooling. But then Aiyasha, the eldest, managed to find time to teach them basic reading and writing. As their skills increased, so did the lessons. The children began to discover how to invent things. One example is how they made lanterns with bugs and worms. They also figured out how to make catching water more efficient. Eventually, they were able to obtain scholarships and go to a real school. Once they left the community, many opportunities were opened up to them. But in a twist, Aiyasha is kidnapped. Do they find her? How did they become productive members of society?

The book was very well-edited as evidenced by the lack of errors. The storyline was so interesting and intriguing that it kept my attention. I became invested in the lives of these 7 orphans. The adventures that they had, kept me wanting to read more.

There was not one thing that I found distasteful in "Dumb" Orphans. The title comes from the way that the headman of the community referred to the orphans. There was no profanity at all which made this book enjoyable to read. The lives of all the orphans were intertwined and very intriguing.

My rating for this awesome book is a five out of five stars. There were no errors in this book, which indicates that it was professionally edited. The plot of these 7 orphans was so easy to follow and really engaging. I found that the characters and scenes were very entertaining.

My recommendation for the audience of readers for "Dumb" Orphans is for every reader. I feel this book is appropriate for all. Readers of all ages will find this excellent book entertaining, with adventures and funny stories. The lack of profanity and sexual situations make this story fitting for readers of any age and walk of life.

This book is like a really inspiring story! I'm glad because I enjoyed this review so much. It's great to hear about a book that can capture my attention and make me feel invested in the characters. The idea of these orphans overcoming adversity and finding ways to improve their lives is really heartwarming. I might have to check it out myself!
