Harold and Lewey by Bela Feketekuty is a psychological thriller about two men walking on a dirt road in a rural town. Harold and Lewey met in college and quickly became friends, even though they are very different. One day, they decided to take a trip and visit Harold’s Uncle Al, who lived in the mountains where they could get away from everything and Lewey could paint. After some time walking on a dirt road, Lewey noticed a man following them and immediately assumed the worst. Who was the man following them? Why was he following them? What happened to Lewey and Harold?

The book is divided into two chapters, and I personally believe the first chapter should be the whole book; it was my favorite. The second chapter was interesting, and it gave a different perspective on what a psychological thriller could be, but the first chapter was so amazing, intriguing, and perfect that the second chapter disappointed me. Overall, I do think that it gave the book a great ending; it tied the story together and managed to explain everything. I just happen to love an adrenaline rush.

Ultimately, the thing I loved the most about the book is that it is never predictable. I wanted to know what was going to happen because what I expected to happen was wrong, and with a mystery book, that is exactly what I want—to be surprised.

Harold and Lewey, has been exceptionally well edited, as the book is completely free from errors. The book is interesting and captivating; the language is simple, but the thrilling element can be perceived from the first pages. Although the book is short, and it only has two chapters, the author managed to create realistic characters with different personalities. Because of everything I have said, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. It would not be fair to deduct stars because I like one chapter more than the other when that is a personal preference.

The book is short; it would be perfect for a sleepover or to read it along a bonfire. The book is suitable for adults and teenagers, and everyone who enjoys a thriller and a mystery novel will adore it.
