A. Nonny Mouse: Magical Moon Mouse Finds Merry Christmas is sweetly written by Doreen Lindahl. Doreen Lindahl is a ninety-five-year-old mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She has shared with us the lovely story of the moon mice.

The featured moon mouse is A. Nonny Mouse. He is very cute and has five good friends that stop by to play with him. The author introduces us to the five friends one at a time.

The friends were playing well together. Some of their favorite games were rock tag and hide-and-seek. G. Teeny Moon Mouse made up a song about B. Infa and how he had a nice moonball. She thought it would be fun to have all of them go to B. Infa's house and play moon ball. A. Nonny Mouse didn't agree and told the group that he didn't want to go to B. Infa's house. A. Nonny wanted to play rock tag some more.

E. Norr Moon Mouse spoke up and said they had already played rock tag, and now he wanted to play moonball. One by one all of the other friends spoke up and said how they wanted to play moonball too. So, the five friends walked away to play moonball, leaving A. Nonny on his own.

A. Nonny wished he had a moonball because then his friends would have stayed and played with him. A. Nonny began to pace back and forth and was wishing he had a moonball when suddenly, four shooting stars collided into each other, making one big magical poof! The collision caused golden sparks, and A. Nonny found he now had a golden nose and a golden tail!

High above him was Fairy Moon Mouse, and she was magical too! She had a golden nose and a golden tail just like A. Nonny. He wanted to know where she came from, and he wanted to know how she knew his name. She explained that she had come from his wishes. He had been pacing back and forth, back and forth, and wishing and wishing until, poof, she appeared! Fairy Moon explained how he could wish for anything he wanted, and it would come true. He could also wish things away, and they would disappear.

Fairy Moon Mouse warned him that he needed to be careful of what he wished for, as it could get him into trouble. She told him he only has four wishes.

I recommend you read this book to see what A. Nonny does with his wishes. This book is a delight. It has good moral values that will teach the young reader the best way to behave, and what can happen if you are selfish and don't think of others before you act. The graphics are very cute as well.

I found these characters to be so endearing that I would love to read other stories about other adventures they might have. For this reason, I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars.
