We Got This: Solo Mom Stories of Grit, Heart, and Humor

These are 75 great writers, whom all have a background of single motherhood. But, come from different cultural backgrounds with different writing styles. We're talking about judges and doctors to the plain ol "Normal Everyday" mom. Ranging from quotes and poetry to short stories all equalling out to raw truth with a strength that is unforeseen and unshakable. A small hint of emotional vulnerability equals the perfect combo. For example, one mother writes about holding her child while crying herself to sleep. The struggles of life seen and unseen but, felt deep within. Regardless, of what life is throwing out at single mothers; this book, is very inspirational at inspiring mothers to push forward no matter what. That's the grit. Working multiple jobs or fighting for custody for your children. In the book, a mother shares about attending night school while working full-time and parenting alone. What a challenge! Luckily, holding on to her dream of a better life for her child and her self-sacrifice represents a strength and a courage that keeps her grounded and her goals aligned. As an example, for all single mothers everywhere. Last, but not least, some joyous moments noted. It's really nice, it puts a smile on your face. Joking about "losing it in Target again" as a national solo mom's rite of passage. The writers sends you a message about moments not thought of with single mothers; bridging gaps, that had been lost. Controlling emotions and being yourself, point scale in favor of a battle won for single mothers. Once you start reading it, you really have a better insight into single motherhood and all of its challenges. With the understanding, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
