My rating of this book is 4 out of 5 stars.
Overall, this book is an excellent and wonderful example of a guide to finding one's own meaning and autonomy and how to reparent one's own self. However, the reason I deducted 1 star is because the book did not include specific ways to find your own purpose in life, such as examples of how you could do that. It gave some broad, general exercises to do that, but they were not very helpful in finding out my own purpose in life except for the fact that they helped me find what career I wanted to do. Another part of the book had meditations you could try to help reparent yourself; those were more helpful in the fact that they helped me deal with childhood trauma. I would really have loved more advice in the book on how to find your own purpose in life.

However, I loved the concepts and knowledge in the book regarding how to become autonomous. I myself have struggled with autonomy my whole life, and this book helped me solve a huge fundamental problem with my own independence as a person. Which is, out of all the things I am passionate about, what do I really enjoy? What makes me myself? Overall, what do I want to do with my life to support myself and find joy?

And because of this book, I was able to dive deep and find the answer. In my case, I found out I wanted to be a traveling writer. I have since started a blog as a result of reading this book, because I felt very strongly that this is what I really wanted to do. It was a decision I struggled with for many, many years. The book gave me the courage to do something I always wanted to do, and I thank the author for the author's wonderful knowledge, empathy towards us readers, and open-minded approach to sharing their knowledge.

As a reader, I also really appreciated the part where they were open-minded enough that they were accepting of all beliefs, including my own. All in all, reading this helped me on my journey of self-discovery, healing, and autonomy. Thank you; I hope my review helps someone else to read this book.
