There is a wealth of knowledge and information between the pages of Health & Well-Being Made Easy. Payne covers various internal and external environmental factors in a thoughtful and well-organized manner affecting our overall health, influencing how we interact mentally and physically in the world around us. His focus is on twelve pillars, discussing in depth the role each plays and the value each brings to our mental and physical health and well-being. The function of each pillar is thought out and concisely defined with scientific research, evidence and background. Each pillar is combined with practical principles to follow and put into practice to develop healthy habits promoting balance, longevity and boosting energy levels. This book sheds light on how posture, breathing, fitness, sleep, diet, social habits, sex life, skincare and brain health all have a part in taking care of our health and well-being. Payne explains and details the connections between each pillar and how taking care of one pillar leads to taking care of another and so on.

It was extremely nice to read a book where attention was paid to editing and grammatical errors were not a distraction, but I would rate this book a 4 out of 5. Though this book was extremely well written, some readers may find these strategies simple or too obvious if they are already familiar with habit formation. Eating healthy, regular exercise and quality sleep are key components that the majority of individuals know, however, may not implement in a daily routine. This book will empower us to practice mindfulness and take control of our own mental and physical health and well-being using a holistic approach. I would recommend Health & Well-Being Made Easy to anyone who needs encouragement to connect or reconnect with their body. Payne has provided science-backed practical advice in a well-organized manner. These are common-sense ideas with practical applications, encouraging us to develop and implement healthy habits over trends or fads. This book will empower us to practice mindfulness and take control of our own mental and physical health and well-being using a holistic approach. Reading books of this nature and topic may provide healthy strategies and valuable insights into becoming more self-aware of one’s own body.
