Title: I’d Give Beth 6 Stars If I Could!

I’m officially obsessed with BETH! This book is everything I want in a twisty, moody, character-driven story. The plot pulls you in like quicksand, and trust me, you’ll love sinking in. The Author has this wonderful way of writing that makes every single scene feel cinematic, almost like you’re watching a beautifully shot indie movie inside your head.

Beth is one of those characters you want to hug, slap, shake some sense into, and then hug again; that’s how real they feel. I genuinely cared what happened to them from start to finish, which doesn’t always happen for me with thrillers. The suspense is pitch-perfect, the pacing is spot-on, and the author’s writing style is so crisp and smooth that I couldn’t find a single typo. Seriously, hats off to the editor because a book this clean is a rare unicorn these days!

If I had to dig deep for a criticism (and I really do have to dig!), maybe I wish there had been just a tiny bit more comic relief. Some parts get so tense that I caught myself needing a breather. A chuckle here or there would have made the darker moments hit even harder. But honestly? That’s me nitpicking an otherwise nearly perfect book.

I finished BETH in two days flat, which is a record speed for my slow reading self. It’s one of those books that leaves you with a “book hangover,” you know the feeling, when you keep thinking about the characters long after you’ve put the book down. I’d recommend BETH to anyone who loves smart, layered stories that keep you guessing until the very last page. Five huge stars from me and a standing ovation from my couch. I’ll be raving about this one to everyone I know!
