The first book of a series, Solaris Seethes is an action-packed novel filled with betrayal, loss, and hope. Set in an imaginary world where space travel is the norm, this novel follows a young woman named Rynah whose life is suddenly changed when invaders break into her work place. This break in leads Rynah to discover that her fiancé and her grandfather are not who they seem to be. With the help of a spunky, talkative space ship, she goes on a journey to find 6 crystals that will not only restore her world, but save the whole universe from annihilation. She also recruits the help of four other individuals and they journey to different planets where they encounter strange beings and are forced to rely on their wits to survive.

I absolutely loved this book. I think it had a great story line and included a lot of action which helped to enrich the plot. The plot had a good pace from scene to scene, but it was a little predictable at the beginning of the book. The author did a great job on world building and introducing the background stories of the characters. The ending was a bit somber but gave me enough interest in wanting to read the second book of the series.

The author had a variety of characters who had different personalities that any reader could relate to. The main characters as well as the secondary characters were well developed and multidimensional. Solaris was my favorite character due to her witty attitude ;however, I didn't like Rynah that much. Rynah complained a lot, but I warmed up to her towards the end of the novel.

The book touches on themes of friendship, loyalty, and revenge. There were no major grammatical errors however there were a lot of asides in parentheses which seemed a bit out of place. There were a few sexual implications, but they were not too graphic.

Overall I would give this book a 4 out of 4 stars. It was a fantastic read and I will definitely read the second book of the series. I love books that give you a connection with the characters and this book definitely did that for me. I would recommend this book for any readers who like sci-fi or fantasy books especially those who enjoy space stories.
