My Trip to Adele by A.I. Alyaseer, R.I. Alyaseer is a great story or stories, I should say. Three stories in one help keep the book interesting. The book itself almost reads like a movie or TV show. An example of the recent show following multiple stories, like this book, is the show This is Us. Each story has its own element of drama making it easy to continue turning the pages without thinking about it.

The stories all have a common theme of the characters finding their way to an Adele concert. Along the way, the characters each face their own trials and tribulations to get to said concert. Each chapter is the title of an Adele song and in the chapter the song is connected to subject matter of the chapter. I found this to be a very creative element to the book. I have never seen an author do something like that before.

The authors did an excellent job of being visually descriptive throughout the story. The vivid descriptions set the scenes perfectly. Any time the setting is changed I was immediately immersed into the world that the character was in. Being that the stories all take place in a different place of the world it is helpful that the writers where so descriptive. The descriptions helped me remember who’s story I was reading at the beginning of the chapters and set the tone for the rest of the chapter.

I would give the book 3 out of 4 stars. I cannot give the book more because I believe the ending could have been wrapped up a bit nicer. It seems that the ending was rushed as a result of having a limited number of Adele songs that could be used to fit the content that might have been needed to bring each of the stories to a cleaner close. Although, I do think that the idea of incorporating the songs was innovative I do not think that it worked for the entirety of the book.

I cannot give the book less stars because overall the book was written well. The descriptions were wonderful. Each story was unique in its own way and if the authors ever desired to do so each story could be made into its own book with even more details and drama. This book would a great read for teens, young adults, and Adele fans of any age.
