The Stealer of Memories by Mois Bennarroch is a tale of a man who is able to steal memories from others. He uses this ability to write stories based on other people’s memories. Unfortunately this turns into a fiasco, and often loses track of what memories are his and what are ones he stole from someone else. This book follows his adventures and depicts his life. It begins with a bicycle accident, but did this accident really happen? It's hard to tell, because our narrator is not exactly sure if it was a stolen memory or a real one. The book continues to depict the narrator’s confusion as he navigates his own powers and their consequences.

This book has fantastic potential. It is a really great idea, and brings an interesting twist to the profession of story-telling. What if you could use other people's memories? Wouldn't that make writing about experiences you've never had so much easier? I think it's a fantastic idea to put into a story. The narrator is complex and is really well developed.

Unfortunately, this book could use work in the execution. It needs a professional edit, and it definitely needs a better translation. It has a lot of grammar errors, and uses broken English. It's almost as if the translator does not speak fluent English. I think a proper translation would do wonders for the books expression, and would actually give the book more life.

I would rate this book 2 out of 4 stars. This story is definitely a work in progress and needs to work out some kinks. The books translation is not perfect and can be hard to follow. It is also in broken English, which needs to be fixed. The book has great potential, and once edited and translated properly it could really be a great read. I enjoyed the plot and characters, so with a little love, this novel could really be a shining star.

I think this book would appeal to readers who like works of fiction, and enjoy reading real-world based fantasy novels. It is translated from another language and set in Europe, so readers have to be open, and understanding of other cultures to enjoy it. It is definitely geared towards adult and has some adult content, so young adults will not be a fan of this particular story. I would recommend this to an 18+ crowd.
