Book: My trip to Adele
Authors: R.I. Alyaseer and A.I. Alyaseer
Genre: Fiction

The story revolves around lives of three people: one is a married couple, second a divorcee and third a single adult. All of the people in the book adore Adele and they're just mesmerised by the release of her new album 25. All of them want to attend the concert of Adele in Verona for various reasons : For the couple to save their marriage, for the divorcee since it's her child's birthday and even the child happens to adore Adele and the single adult mostly because she wants to .

The book reveals the struggles of everyday lives and how love affects all of them differently. The characters in the book portray different dimensions of love and how love treats them all differently. It shows a glimpse of even after being modern the women still have to face the troubles just because of being a member of the opposite gender. It also shows the struggles of married lives and how if one determines can be wherever the want despite of the circumstances.

Each chapter in the book ends with the lyrics of Adele song and how the writer has succeeded in choosing the lyrics to depict the whole theme of the chapter. It shows that's the writer loves as much as the characters themselves and hence it gives the book an edge.

The end is neatly written. How one Adele concert brings about changes in the lives although not fully what they accept but it provides a hope and a better start for whatever comes next. The results are not exactly what the characters expect but similar in terms of that and how they make a new start.

There was one paragraph in the book that moved particularly and that is :
Every woman wants to experience love; to melt into the arms of the man she adores. But it was important that the man in question understood that love wasn’t a manipulation tool. Love shouldn’t take advantage of her weaknesses. It wasn’t a justification to drain the best of her and then walk away claiming that she had changed and that the love that had brought them together no longer existed..
I personally feel that this part applies equally in the lives of all the three characters and the struggles they face in the name of love.

I personally enjoyed reading the book. The book maintains a light tone throughout and all the three lives are equally balanced . To get the proper emotions behind each chapter I'd suggest you to listen to the lyrics at the end of it while reading the chapter or listen it after reading the chapter and you'll feel exactly the emotions the characters feel. :)

I rate this book 3 out of 4
