The book Solution to Arthritis is a self-help work designed to aid others who are suffering with the disease. Throughout the book, the author, Anita Bose, discusses the different types of arthritis known to modern medicine along with briefly touching on what typically causes arthritis and what signs and symptoms to look for before finishing with offering various remedies for the disease.

I believe that my favorite aspect of the work was the fact that I felt like I gained some rather insightful knowledge into how arthritis works and discovered that while there are several medications that are now on the market to help aid with the symptoms of the disease, according to Anita Bose, there are also several natural remedies that can help lessens the symptoms of arthritis like yoga, deep breathing and certain dietary plans. I was also partial to the fact that throughout the work there were several pictures to accompany the different types of yoga positions Bose was discussing as it made many of the positions much easier to comprehend.

Sadly, while the book did appear to contain some rather pertinent information, due to the fact that it is a book about a serious medical condition, I was uncomfortable to find that there are no footnotes, endnotes or other forms of citations referring to where Bose was gathering her information on the the recommendations she was making, so the credibility of her work is in question.

Unfortunately, a lack of references was not the only issue that presented itself throughout the book. There did not seem to be a natural flow in certain sections of the work and it would change topics abruptly which rendered it difficult to follow. In addition to this, there were several common grammar mistakes throughout the entirety of the book, many of them being simple subject verb agreement issues, which lead me to feel like the author either is not very versed in writing in English or simply did not take the time to have the book properly edited.

In conclusion, due to the amount of grammatical errors and the lack of citations or references in the book, I would rate this book 2 out of 4 stars. The book did contain some interesting information in regards to the basis of what arthritis is, so it may appeal to those who are just looking for a simple synopsis of the disease. However, I would not recommend this book to someone who is actually suffering with arthritis and is looking for some tested homeopathic remedies to help ease their symptoms.
