The Bonding

The Trianni are in danger of extinction, they have been enslaved by aliens and are being killed. Nissa, princess of the Trianni, escapes their world with a hundred people encapsulated in cryo-pods, sleeping a cryogenic dream. Tam, warrior of the Argentus Tribe, is alone in a big galactic ship, cruising some part of the known universe, not knowing what fate has in store for him.

In his world, women are scarce, a luxury. He has only ever been with one woman in his whole life, so, encountering this princess was a complete shock for him. For her, saving her people is priority, but her thirst for Tam cannot be quenched. Twists and turns, and galactic fighting adventure, what will be of the Trianni if they fail? How many will be saved? Is their bonding strong enough to overpass Nissa´s culture? Tam´s traditions? Two different races, two different cultures and traditions, will love prevail in this galactic novel? Some things seem to be the same in the entire universe.

The book starts with a good foot, story seems interesting enough to keep you engaged imagining an outer world somewhere. The pace is all right, though the narrative gets at times a bit confusing, forcing action that the reader cannot quite visualize. A bit entangled. I like the story in itself, two different races with two different cultures, one at the edge of extinction and the other, a warrior race.

The story gets to heavy on the sexual part though. I am not a fan of porn so, reading this book was like watching a super charged porn movie. It was just too much sex for my taste, very graphic and kind of tiresome. At times, it borders sexism, in my opinion, showing the female character just to bond to the male one, too needy of him. It can go both ways though, showing his primal instinct, just his need for sex, because, although the author intends to show otherwise, the main storyline of the book is the act of sex itself, and everything that entails with it.

I give this book 2 out of 4 stars. The original description of the book was kind of different from the actual book. It came across as a romantic, adventuresome story, when it actually is very centered in erotic matters, which makes it tricky if you just not interested in reading this kind of subject.
