It is Adele's first tour since 2011. People from all over are excited to attend this live performance. The lyrics of her songs captivate minds, it draws you in and makes you relate to them in some way or another.

It was no different Elias, Yaser and Nadia. While they are all struggling with their own personal demons and struggles, the lyrics of Adele's songs brought back memories and put them on a path of relation and realization.

While Elias is desperately trying to find answers and closure over Malika, a girl he had fallen in love with 8 years ago, he finds himself back in Marakesh looking for her. On this journey he realizes that he will find her at the Adele concert in Verona just as he promised her all those years ago.

For Yaser, his life seems an empty state of routine. Trying to save his marriage from divorce, he convinces his wife to see a marriage councillor with him. It is there, that they are forced to revive a happy memory. The only memory Yaser could think of was the day he had proposed to Mariam with an Adele song playing in the background.

Nadia has been divorced for 8 years. She lives for her son Waleed. The two of them both love Adele's music and Nadia knows that she has to take Waleed to the concert in Verona.

The characters in My Trip To Adele each face a different personal battle. Will Elias find Malika? Will Yaser be able to revive the spark that he and Mariam once shared? Will Nadia finally get her long awaited taste of freedom by taken Waleed on his first travel experience? What does the future hold for these characters?

This book emphasizes how much meaning music has to its listeners. The old fashioned tale of how 1 song can bring back so many memories. It takes the reader on a journey of self searching, asking questions and learning that life is not so much about the materialistic things, but about the person / people you share it with. There are valuable lessons to be learnt in this book and I will most definitely recommend it to anyone who has the need to do some soul searching.

Although there were quite a couple of spelling and grammar errors, I put this down to the fact that the book was written in Arabic and them translated to English. Which, considering this, still is a job well done.

I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. It was a good read all together. Excitement, sadness, confusion, anger, dissapointment.... all the emotions in a single book.
