For centuries, religion has played an important role in every society around the globe. While each religion has many different aspects, all of them worship a god or idol. When we talk about the Christian religion and the Bible, we can't help but to think about the Book of Revelation and the end of days. Many scientists and religious leaders have tried to decode the Bible to decipher when the end is coming. All have failed so far. I remember December 31, 1999 and how everyone thought that everything technological couldn't change the time to a new millennium and how frantic everyone was only to be frantic for no reason.

While I am not a religious or a scientific person, I enjoyed reading this book. I do love reading about history and to be able to hear about other people's perspective on why things have happened the way they have. It is interesting how the author has come up with his ideas in this novel and how he was able to base it upon things that have happened in the past. The end of days may be closer than we think.

The only question I have is, is there really a god? If there really is one, how do we know that we are on the right path or that we have chosen the right religion? Why were we put here to begin with? While I don't believe in the Big Bang Theory and I find it hard to believe that we evolved from apes, a god seems more logical to grasp. Seeing is easier than believing as they say.

The author talks about the Seventh Millennium, which is the thousand years after God's return to Earth. The Bible states that all who have passed away will be resurrected from the dead to be able to bask in God's glory and grace. To be able to stand in the presence of God and to be able to witness an act that is so amazing is something hard to believe. I believe this is why many people lack faith these days. It is too hard to grasp a concept if we are unable to witness it ourselves. I understand that God gives us free will but why can't he show himself to the non believers? If we seen him, it would be a lot easier to believe.

The only reason I have given this book a 3 out of 4 is because, some parts were a little hard to follow, especially if you are unaware of Jewish history or religion. I believe that it was very informative and very well written but it has raised many questions that are left unanswered.
