I have read the Bible at least once in my life and I have to admit that some things that were written have piqued my curiosity. We have all wondered about what happens to our souls when we die. Is there an afterlife or do we just cease to exist?

Or is there really such a thing as the devil or demons? There has been a lot of strange things that I have seen in my life that doesn't have an explanation. I have heard about and seen movies and TV specials that were based upon real live footage that can't be explained as well. While it could be very likely that what I have seen on TV could very well possibly be fake but it is also possible that we just haven't had the opportunity to see them for ourselves. Not only are demons mentioned in the Bible, it is also written in text books about exorcisms of people who were human beings without any psychological or psychiatric problems. Based upon these findings, I am a believer of beings other than of the human nature.

Raven's Peak tells a story about a secret government agency that fights to keep the residents of the United States safe from demonic activity while covering up the activity in the process. Haatim, a recent college graduate, is approached by a gentlemen while he was at a library. The gentleman offers Haatim a job to follow someone who he believes is out to take his life. Without any prior experience, Haatim accepts the offer because he is in need of a job. Believing that no harm would come to him, we sets out to find this woman and to follow her every move without being seen, unaware that decision would send him on an adventure that would change his beliefs.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The characters have strong personalities that were well suited for this book. I admire both lead characters, Abigail and Haatim strongly. The book was very hard to put down.

It would definitely be a shame if this book wasn't made into a movie without any changes to it. The author has a gift of writing great stories and these qualities are hard to come by. He would definitely come close to Stephen King! I would recommend this book to anyone who loves reading supernatural stories. I personally can't wait to read his next book!
