Raven’s Peak by Lincoln Cole is an action packed supernatural thriller that grabs your attention from the beginning. Arthur is an all time legend, but his misfortune has locked him up in prison. One day, a woman named Frieda asks him for his help to investigate a case in which three hunters died fighting a demon. Arthur's stepdaughter Abigail was one of the three hunters. He goes to avenge his stepdaughter and finds that she is still alive but possessed by a very powerful demon inside a Church. He fights the demon and saves Abigail from it but he loses his life in the end.

Now imagine being thrown into this world of demons. That's what happens to Haatim. Demons start hunting him for some reason and Abigail saves him from them. Abigail gets a new mission to check out some strange occurrences on Raven's Peak, a small town in the Smokey Mountains. Both Haatim and Abigail start their journey to Raven's Peak where new problems are awaiting them.

The book keeps you busy to the very end with many unexpected twists. I found myself very engaged with the book and kept reading it all night. I really loved the way the author has described the scenes in the story. Although some of the scenes were a bit unpleasant and gory, the overall experience was fantastic.

The characters are also very interesting. Haatim loses his faith in God after his sister's death and tries to move on. He blames his father for not seeking medical help on time. As he enters the world of demons everything becomes more confusing for him. Abigail is a selfless and courageous woman who is trying bring Arthur back from hell. She works for a Council as a hunter and the Council doesn't trust her after she was possessed by the demon inside the Church. Even though Haatim and Abigail have known each other only for a few days, both of them get along really well together. I liked the fact that their friendship remains platonic till the end and does not end up in romance.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars as the book is really well written. You may also start experiencing Goosebumps and chills down your spine as you read the book.

Raven’s Peak is the first book in its series which ends with a cliff-hanger and definitely creates an urge to read the second book immediately.I recommend this book to anyone who loves supernatural stuff and thrills. However, the book may keep you engaged all night, so be prepared for that.
