My trip to Adele by A.I Alyaseer , R.I Alyaseer is one of the most captivating books i've ever read. it's a mixture of drama, romance and especially hope , the hope that pushed Elias ,Yaser and Nafia to chase the happiness they've lost years ago,to fulfil the missed piece in their lifes, and to be free ! not free by it typical meaning ,but free inside ,soul's freedom wich allowed them to breathe again , either it was withhout achieving what they were looking for as Elias and Nadia , or with it as Yaser.
My trip to Adele had involved 3 completely different stories ,but wich had the love of Adele in common , the will to change the monotonous rhythm of their lifes and most importantly to find themselves again without any borders or limits .
The first one was Elias with his long lasting feeling for the girl he had met in MARRAKECH , a girl that despite her young age had woken up on him the love he had searched for years. although it was just one week but it seemed like his entire life was resumed in those few days of passion , love and satisfaction that had built a strong wall of rspect , banning him from even doing what he had actually payed for. for this story , the writers had presented the too sides of Marrakesh wich an exemple that could be applicated on all word's cities , the bright side the tourists are looking for ,and the dark side that malika'the girl' was part of.
The second was Yaser, his story actually was the very sophisticated one , it was about the very successful oncologist with his wife who shared with him the same job , and how they've lost the sparkle of their love among the years letting pression, uncomfortability and coldness taking place over it . thing that pushed them to look for a way to save their marriage especially the children . it was the most sophisticated one for me because of the concept that Yaser had adopted against his wife : his rejection of her God,not because he 's convinced but only because he was unable to reject her ,so he rejected her God though. this concept make us wonder where pression could lead when you're not capable to express your feelings or your ideas or even to say all what you want to say without any fears ! that was the situation for Yaser whenever he had a discussion with his wife .
And the last one was Nadia , Nadia who presents the uncountable number of women being beated, bad treated and irritated. the kind of women that could handle whatever they have to, only because of the children ,'suiciding to save another life ' ! yet,for Nadia that was inacceptable, she hadn't accepted to share her miserable life with another wife ,she didn't let the tribe make decisions about her or her son , she managed to live her life independent eventhough that meant to face her tribe , but still, she had took that road fully aware that it's a right not just a choice .
The book was written in a way that made me thirsty for more and more whenever i started reading, especially when i reached the end , it was full of last minute decisions , it was so unpredictable and i loved that . i also loved the notion of making Adele's songs a chapter titles and relating it to the stories. in the other hand , i find it difficult at the beginning to concentrate because of the writer moving between the 3 stories oftenly , so i rated it 3 out of 4 , but it was really a pleasure to read this book and to see things from characters eyes.
