The book Raven’s Peak, book 1 in World of Fire written by Lincoln Cole talks about how the life of Haatim Arison is changed when he is saved by Abigail Dressier. He then discovers his family legacy in supernatural and finds himself amidst a demonic threat that needs to be stopped otherwise the whole population of the small town Raven’s Peak would be wiped out clean. The book follows around Haatim as he handles the new world of supernatural and Abigail as she tries to solve her past’s mysteries as well as both of them trying to save the town.

The characters in the book were absolutely beautiful. They were vibrant and very realistic and the descriptions of demons were lifelike and emotive. The attention to details was very nicely taken care of. The author teaches about how to overcome your differences and fears. It is a book on friendship, love and knowing the difference between right and wrong. The novel tracks their personal growth and change. The message of love was subtly included in the book.

The writing style of the author was absolutely mind boggling, nowhere in the book I felt like it was rushed or dragged. It was the perfect pace. The vocabulary used in the book was appropriate for the intended audience as well. The inclusion of some more advanced words like ‘glutton’ (an excessively greedy eater) will pique your curiosity and make you feel like a child again for learning new words. It was a detailed book which kept the mystery going.

By the end of the book, the growth in the characters was clear. After reading the book, you would definitely want to be a better person and always do right in the world, which I think the author would want. The ending was clear and very satisfactory to the soul. After reading this book, immediately you would be searching the internet for the next book for sure. Therefore, for this barely-able-to-put-down-book, I will rate it 4 out of 4 stars.

I would recommend this book for those people who have loves fiction and have no problem in reading books of Gods and demons. It is a must read book because not only are the conversations between Abigail and haatim funny but they it teaches you good morals. The expert combination of mystery, love and friendship makes it a completely immersive story and as a result, it is an extremely difficult to put down book.
