The Hidden City of Chelldrah-ham: Belas Rift written by Stephan von Clinkerhoffen is a fantasy full of adventure where Stig and Meg try to save their world Chelldrah-Ham from the evil human Anet and her greed.

They meet many people that cover a wide range of temperaments along the way. Some people want to help them on their journey while others try to hinder them at every turn. Will Stig and Meg beat the evil Anet and her greed to save their home?

I have to say that I totally loved the book overall. It was very entertaining and kept me guessing as to what would happen next. Just when you thought you had it all figured out there was a surprising twist that you weren't expecting. This book would be great for readers both young and old. I would so read another one just to see what kind of adventures that Meg and Stig could get into. This book will keep you guessing and is hard to put down.

I would give this book a rating of 3 out of 4 stars. While it is easy to follow and well written I found that the character size comparisons at times were conflicting and left one unsure about the actual size of Meg and Stig. Normally it would be mute point however since size is referenced more than once the conflicts makes it harder to ignore. That is the only thing that I found that bothered me about the book. Had the size issue not been referred to so much I would have given it a 4 out of 4 stars.

I also have to say if your one that is bothered by misspellings this book might bother you a little. While I totally understand why certain words were misspelled it was totally intentional and comes from the fact that our main characters are from another world and therefore they pronounce thing differently than those in the human world. Just something to note ahead of time so those that are sticklers for correctness are prepared for what they will read.

Even with the size issue bothering me I would definitely read another book if this were to become a series and continue. I found the book to be very entertaining and kept me enthralled. I easily found that as I was reading and imagining what was happening that the world around me faded away. The author used so much description in his writing that as I read it I felt as if I was transported there and could see things thru the eyes of Stig and Meg.
