The place of knowledge - Philip Alan Shalk

The Place of knowledge by Phil Alan shalk is a children's book.Featuring the great Greek philosopher, Aristotle.

Philip Alan is an autistic boy.smart and intelligent .He describes that knowledge can be got in different ways.Just as his story narrates. The story revolves around a dog,Surbre and his partner Philip. Subre is caustic and he wants a partner. He eventually is assigned to Philip who is his life trainer,as time goes by he starts to like Philip and enjoy being around him. They had a routine to follow bt one day the routine changed for an adventure. They went for an adventure in the pool.while In the pool they found themselves in the Ancient city of Greek. It was full of exciting people.

The city was exiting. While in the city the met a young man, Aristotle with old soul,The great Greek philosopher. They were exited to meet him especially surbre.surbre really liked the other side of life.Aristotle took then to visit the garden of the hillside. They all find it so beautiful with plants, trees, animals and flowers. Surbre and Philip had good time in the mystery garden with Aristotle sharing wisdom and inspiring words.well Philip tells Aristotle how he feels abt things in life despite being autistic. The conversion between Aristotle and Philip is much interesting and smooth.

They share much and compare much of life aspects. The knowledge of the secret city is existing .Philip and Surbre couldn't wait to visit the city again when one afternoon the went for yet another adventure in the city. As usual the city is existing .they visited mathematics logistics and science experimental rooms and discussed how they affected real aspects of life.Aristotle shared to Philip on good qualities to be successful. He puts out simplicity and focus as being the most important aspects of successful thinker.

The book ends when Philip and Surbre returns back full of knowledge and answers of life. The author describes the different hallways as reflected to the different aspects of life. They explored life in different aspects of knowledge.
The book has pages less than 50 but reading it is like a story full of Wisdom and knowledge. The book truly reflect real life matter of a child.I loved Philip's character from the start of the book.Although he's smart, there's another side of him that only explored when truly ignited. My biggest complaint with the story is the poorly structured conversation between characters. The dialogue between Philip and Surbre seems forced and unrealistic even when their relationship is too close.

I enjoyed this book overall. The place of knowledge is a unique approach to reality. Aristotle shares his wisdom and knowledge .If you have kids who would use knowledge in the books I heartily recommend this book.I will therefore rate it 3 out of 4.

Glad you enjoyed this book. I did too! As you suggest, it would be great if we could teach even young children some of this knowledge.
